(Moderner Pop-)Song für -ing-Form gesucht

    Hi!


    Ich würde gerne in der Handelsschule den Unterschied zwischen "I am working in the x department today" vs. "Normally I work in the y department" mit einem Song einleiten, aber mir fällt außer "Bodycount" nichts ein, wo es heißt, "right now I'm eating these donuts", dort wird aber am Ende des Intros ein Polizist erschossen.


    Da muss es doch 1000 Sachen geben, oder? Am liebsten wäre mir was Modernes, ich könnte wir aber auch einen Blues / Sprechgesang vorstellen à la "I was sitting on ... and the girl was passing by ... and I was playing my guitar ..."


    Ich bin für jeden Vorschlag dankbar!


    EDIT: Für das substantivische "Smoking is dangerous", "Hometaping is killing music", etc. bin ich ebenfalls für Songs dankbar!

    In Deinem Beispiel handelt es sich aber nicht um das present progressive, sondern um das gerund (for walking; keep lying, keep losing, etc.)

    aber wo wir ja schonmal mit englisch fachmenschen reden. jedes mal, wenn ich deises lied höre (und das ist oft), frage ich mich, ob diese wörter truthing, saming und so wirklich existieren. Kann mir das jemand beantworten?

    mir fällt gerade das LIed "Lemon tree" ein, singt er da nicht auch "I am sitting..". Bin aber nicht ganz sicher, da ich es lange nicht gehört habe. Gruß Nof.

    Verspätet kommt der Dank für eure Tipps! Einige Sachen habe ich durchgeschaut, leider ist die -ing-Form oft nur im Titel.


    "Lemon Tree" ist von den Formen her der Spitzenreiter, leider ertrage ich das Lied schon seit seinem Erscheinen nicht. Die Suche nach einer Cover-Version blieb erfolglos. Trotzdem vielen Dank, leppy, vielen anderen hilft dieser Tipp bestimmt.


    Ich habe noch gefunden: Dierks Bentley - What I was thinking, da ist Country, allenfalls was für's Gymnasium. "Sailing" von Rod Stewart fällt mir gerade noch ein, da kriegt man in der Handelsschule wahrscheinlich Flaschen an den Kopf geworfen, mit Recht.


    Ich nehme jetzt einen Ausschnitt aus "Dirrty" von Christina Aguilera, weil ich das gut finde und es die Schüler gefügig macht. Als Einstieg reichen die Formen:
