Was heisst "Entwicklungsroman" auf Englisch?

ist das nicht auch story of initiation??
Oder ist das nur etwas ähnliches, und nicht das gleiche?

Ich hatte ja zuerst an das schöne englische Wort "Bildungsroman" gedacht und Randomhouse sagt, die sind gar nicht mal so verschieden:
